Sleepovers are soo much fun and they're great for birthdays too! Here are some top tips and ideas to make your sleepover party go with a bang. If you have any tips which you think would make a party even better then send the tips into me!
Who to invite
Invite as many people as you can fit into your house! The more the better! But if you want to invite just two or three mates round then that can be just as fun too! What ever you do - just make sure you've got enough room for everyone to sleep. (and ask your mum or dad first!)
Where to sleep
Sleep in your room if it's big enough, but if not, ask if you can sleep downstairs. I like to sleep in the lving room with all my mates! Cram yourself all in, sleep on the sofas, on the floor, ect. ect. Get your mates to bring their own bedding (pillows, sleeping bags ect.).
Treats
Yummm - you need food at a sleepover! So you grab a few snacks and then get all your mates to bring some stuff too! Get big bags of crisps to share, and lots of yummy sweets - chocolate is great! Just get some big 2 litre bottles of people's fave drinks like Fanta, Coca Cola and then loads of cups. Yum yum - soon you'll have the best midnight feast ever! (But don't make yourself sick!)
Games
There are loads of games you can play at sleepovers! Ifr you have any suggestions - just e-mail me! The obvious game is truth or dare play it in turns, or spin the bottle! Or try 21 truth or dare - any way is fun! Blind Man's Buff is a laugh too! Pilliow fights are a must for a slumber party too! Another game is to put loads of yummy treats in a bag e.g pieces of choccy, sweets, crisps ect. and then put a few nasty ones in too! You choose! How about chilli or weird veggies? Anyway, once you've picked it out you have to eat it - yuk!
Put some food in seperate bowls, then get people to eat with their mouths - It's soo funny, and people end up with food down them (It is messy though). - Clare Walden
Films
You have to have films at sleepovers, so go to the video shop and hire some before the party starts and hire some flicks! Get a few, and different ones too - such as a comedy to laugh your heads of at the start of the party, a horror to hide behind your pillows later on, and a romance to finish the night off! Make sure they're films that everyone will like too.
Spoooky!
Tell some ghost stories! switch off the lights, and take it in turns to tell the spookiest story you can. Add sound effects that will make everyone jump, and the best story wins a prize!
Girly stuff
All huddle round for some girly fun! Do each other's hair and make-up to make everyone look glam. Then all snuggle down in your beds and have a girly chat!
Outdoors
How about sleeping in a tent, with no tv radios etc - you really get to know your friends and learn all their most private secrets! - Clare Walden
Pitch your tent with the help from your mates in your garden or in a field and grab lots of torches and extra bedding. Ghost stories are even spookier outside at night with a torch under your face! Cram everyone you can into one tent - like Clare said - It's great fun.
Stay up all night!
Why not try to stay up all night or set records each time you have a sleepover .For example - 1st sleepover you stay up till
3:30am, so next sleepover you stay up till 4:00am etc it is fun! - Clare Walden
Tricks
The key to a sleep over is to not go to sleep! Well, to try not to! Some boring people do, yawn! Why not have a competition to see who falls asleep first and then play some tricks on them, not nasty ones though! - Clare Livingstone
